Indroduction--

There are two types of people in this world. The first catagory includes those who have bucket lists. The second catagory includes those poor folk who don't have a bucket list and should have one.

This blog is my way of making public a few of the items on my list, and to document the accrual of check marks in my notebook.

Here is a slightly edited version of the full length List:

1.) Go to Luxor. √
2.) Participate in an archaeological dig.
3.) Write a book.
4.) Write an autobiography.
5.) Create and sell my own album,
6.) Go on a cross country road trip. √
7.) Swim in the seven seas.
8.) Swim in every ocean.
9.) Cover myself entirely in blue paint.
10.) Get my driver's license. √
11.) Get a driver's license from another state. √
12.) Get an international driver's license.
13.) Get my pilot's license.
14.) Get my motorcycle license.
15.) Get my glider license.
16.) Get married.
17.) Visit each continent.
18.) Drink vodka in Russia.
19.) Eat french fries in France.
20.) Drink tea in English.
21.) Ride a donkey, wearing a giant colorful sombrero.
22.) Obtain a giant colorful sombrero.
23.) Get my ears pierced in India.
24.) Place a prayer in the Western Wall. √
25.) Read and Log another 1,000 books (2011-...)
26.) Get an Associate's Degree √
27.) Get a Bachelor's Degree
28. ) Get a Master's...
29.) Ph.D.
30.) Make a movie.

32.) Learn to kayak
33.) Buy a Gibson guitar.
34.) Become totally fluent in Arabic.

36.) Work out an exercise routine and stick with it! √

39.) Get accepted into an Ivy League school-- not necessarily to attend.
40.) Buy a vehicle. √
41.) Reach nirvana.
42.) Go on an African safari (for this purpose... Egypt does not count.)

45.) Become really expert at something.
46.) Run a marathon.
47.) Run a half-marathon.
48.) Run any race as an adult.
49.) Go scuba diving.
50.) Buy land.
51.) Host an exchange student.
52.) Be an exchange student. √

55.) Travel with JP and Guppy.
56.) Get Albono famous.
57.) See the aurora borealis.

89.) Learn how to use a fire extinguisher, and put out a fire. √
90.) Be a house sitter. √
91.) Knit a scarf and wear it in public.
92.) Help at least one friend create their own list.
93.) Drive in another country legally. √
94.) Write a song about/for someone and play it/sing it to them.
95.) Spend some time as a bedouin. √
96.) Keep a dream log for at least a year.
97.) Run 1,000 miles from Jan. 25th 2011 and on...
98.) Go on a cross-country roadtrip in the U.S.
99.) Eat bacon in Canada.
100.) Write 1 letter and send it for 30 days in a row.
101.) Meditate for at least 30 minutes, twice a day, for 30 days.
102.) Be vegetarian for 30 days.

A.) Some parts of this list are fairly vague, and that's on purpose.

  3. So glad I got to be with you for a few of those! :) Floating in the Dead Sea, being in a wedding, placing a prayer in the Western Wall...we have some fantastic memories!!!
